My wedding was in the Daily Express as I went so much over my budget!!

Ok Girls.....my wedding budget was £16,000 and I managed to spend £60,000 - if you say it quick then its not so bad .

Wow what a wedding, if you can afford it then go for it, you look beautiful and the day looked perfect! I'm jealous.

I know when me and my OH get round to getting married I'm really going to struggle to get him to agree for us to spend more than a couple of grand. We've not got round to it yet as we can't agree on what we want, he wants us to run away somewhere (just the two of us - this was before we had Phoebe) whereas i want to invite family and close friends. I've been married before so he thinks I've had my day already, whereas I beleive I haven't as my ex was the wrong man, whereas he is the right man. I think we'll get round to it when this baby is at least 3 and Phoebe will be around 5, I really want her to be my bridemaid and depending on the sex on this little one they will obviously play a big role in the day.

There is an article in The Sun today about a couple who are getting married for £480!(I know I know, it is a rubbish paper and about as intellectually stimulating as toilet roll, but how else can I get my fix of celeb and BB gossip????)

Looking back it was a bit "daft" spending so much (and my dear mother reminds me of this regularly) it just all went a little over budget and most of it I paid for as I went along.......it was only when I added it up at the end that I got a bit of a shock.

Couldnt afford that sort of wedding now, but at the time we were working 16 hour days,and earning very good money - never saw each other mind you

For me the memories of the day were absolutely priceless, and we just celebrated our 2nd year anniversary on Tuesday

Its having the wedding day of your dreams, and marrying the person that you love and want to spend your life with thats important, and how much it costs is irrelavant!!
