When the HV came round the other day to introduce herself, (although pointless because she said, "i'm Julie, but you won't see me again as I am moving to another district" ) she was giving me loads of leaflets on different groups and stuff. Well, she went to hand me one and then said, "oh no, that won't apply to you - that's for young mums!!"

Now, I may not be in the first flush of youth - but 31 is hardly ancient..... Gutted.

aww   don't let it get you down, maybe by young she ment teenage Mums there are alot of groups and services out there aimed at teenage Mum's now adays

:rotfl: Sorry, shouldn't laugh.

Is there not a group for old mums????

Yeah she probably meant teens from 14 upto about 19 or something...

I wouldn't worry about it - OH found it HILARIOUS. ha bloody ha.

I think she did mean teenage mums - it was just the way she said it. In my head I am still 21 though...

Aww thats not very nice

You may be 31 but you dont look it :D

Aww Tadpole!

Opposite end of the spectrum, but mine suggested meeting with other young & single Mum's at a hall which is in the middle of the roughest estate (I always avoid going round there as you get 14 year old girls in the evening out with their buggies and vodka etc in the basket  ) No thanks :talkhand:

I'd much rather sit and chat with "more mature" ladies!! :D xx

 My MW did it to me too (Im 30 in a couple of weeks)

She commented "I delivered a boy the other day and they called him Cameron just like you have! I thought it was a very unusual name choice for them as they were a young couple, its a name I associate with older mums like you"

How rude!

Young people are classed by the government as 16-24 year olds so we are ancient in comparison!!

Us cronies must unite
ETS cameron is DS name

Cheers :D

Must be good genes - as I'm sure it isn't down to the many late nights & hangovers!!

 How rude! I guess I'm going to have to join the old Mums club too - never thought I'd be saying that at 29

Although to be honest, I don't feel mature enough yet to be having a LO - I still feel 21 too :D

Hee! Another absolutely ancient old woman here and soon-to-be first time mum!

We definitely need an old mum's club, where we can moan about our aches and pains ;)

Still feel like a teenager though - in fact I had a teenage party for my 30th birthday in January... so much fun! Then two days later I found I was pregnant... time to grow up a bit I guess!

(Grow up? Me? Yeah right! :rotfl: )
