Im such a complete idiot. Im 28 weeks pg and ive just realised ive not had my pregnancy information pack!!
i just stumbled across the bounty website and was looking at all these packs for mums-to-be and realised i havent had any! It said you are supposed to get them at 12-14 weeks or your first midwife appointment.

I remember my midwife saying remind me to give you your pregnancy pack.... but by the end she had given me leaflets of this, that and the other, that i thought the leaflets were the pack!!!! :wall:
Just so happens the lovely midwife i had my first appointment with doesnt work in my area anymore so have had another miwife since, but now what do i do!!??
It said on the website that i should have got a coupon for a mum-to-be pack in the PIP, but seeing as i dont have a pack in the first place how am i supposed to get the coupon!! What a mess!!

How can i go and ask for an information pack seeing as im already 28 weeks pregnant?? It seems pointless now and i will look a right stupid wally!! I cant believe i didnt realise i was never given one i feel really dumb :(
Is there any way i can get one without asking the midwife? She probably wouldnt believe i never had one in the first place and wouldnt believe someone would be so stupid! What can i do now??

Aww hun don't worry about it, I don't think she would think you are dumb for asking for one, if you want one, ask for it just explain what happened

To be honest it is mainly just leaflets, mine is in the cupboard under my stairs, I had a quick look through when I first got it but it's been there ever since.

Dont feel silly asking for one

In mine i just had a hell of a load of leaflets regarding pregnancy and the tests that will be available to me.
Mine is sat in the spare room at the mo.

TBH I'd not worry about it. It was mostly leaflets and booklets and most of mine ended up in the recycling. I found all the same info online.

As for the freebie pack thing, I never bothered. Its not much and was more hassle than it was worth to make a 45 minute trip to town to a store to use it in.

I'd really not worry about getting it. You've made it this far :) I'd go take a couple of good pregnancy/birthing books out from the libaray and be far more enlightened

Completely agree with Sherlock, I've found more information on here and the net than in those leaflets.

At the antenatal clinic at my local hospital the packs sit out on a shelf next to the waiting room and nobody seems to help themselves to them. As others have said, it's mostly leaflets. Out of the whole lot I think I've kept 4 - 2 pregnancy magazines, one booklet on breastfeeding and another booklet on our local reusable nappy initiative.
