Chavvy?

Honest opinion are plain white trainers now classed as chavvy?

I don't know as last time I bought a pair of white trainers, the word chav was not even popular let alone, classing certain items of clothing ''chavvy'' so can anyone help me out?

I need a new pair of trainers and for the next few months, back ache etc is going to be at its worse so I wanted a really comfy pair so I decided the comfiest pair of trainers ive ever had were A pair of Nike Air Max classics years ago, there were like slippers so I decided to go for them again. I don't like dark colours trainers so I usually go for white is with a bit of colour (like my current paint slashed Dunlop Greenflash or my White/green Stan Smiths) The trainers I found are OOS and as were on sale I dont think they will come back in stock

These are the only other 2 pairs I have found which they colours are suitable for me so I pose the question, are the all white ones ''chavvy'' (or are the balck/red ones boyey?)

No I don't think they are at all, Nike though well. White Reebok maybe.

i only own white ones and as my sis says im defo not a chav as im to old in my lifestyle lol

I like pale blue but have white too. Nike were my favourite when I was 14/15. lol

my oh is a chav lol (he isnt a chav chav but hes a scouser so looks like a chav ... even in a suit) he says not necessarily as now alot of chavs are wearing black trainers, it all depends what you wear with it does that help ma dear ... lol probably not ay!

i dont where trainners.
if i were to get some i would get adidas stan smiths to wear with my combats thats its.
i personaly wouldnt where nike just because they are not my style. i used to be a chav though lol i was a right tom boy. i used to work in footlocker

Lol it does help hun ta, I only ever wear Jeans (unless Im at work in the day in which case I wear black pants lol) so my usual style of what I would wear if wearing trainers would be something like this

I hope thats not chavvy ha ha, I don't think it is anyway - they will look OK if I get plain white with them aren't they - and Im sure its Rebock Classics in all white I see the Chavs round here wearing with Adidas trakkies, sports socks showing and a stripey jumper or a jumper with a HUGH designer name splashed across it and a berghouse coat lol

I already have stan smiths, Dunlop Green Flash, KSwiss, Nike Dunks, 5 pair of Nike Rifts (comfiest ever but only suitable for summer) Adidas Superstar urm I think thats about it really, and still the most comfy trainers I had were the Nike Air Max thats why I want some more, I need to be as comfy as possible in my third try lol

Oh no, I mean Have, GreenFlash are some of best retro trainers about at the moment Claire lol

I remember having a pair when I was 13, yes only 13 and getting really picked on so hated and blamed Dunlop ever since.

I know lol but in the past dunlop were classed (like when I was a kid) as a cheapo brand that you would only wear or get bought if your folks were skint, then they went AWOL for time and in the past year or so they have made a big comeback and are not classed as for ''scuffers'' any more and are now classed as Designer!

Check out Schu and Office for example - they have them in their designer stock lists!!

I dont think those white nikes would look chavvy. Unless you wore them with other chav clothes and your hair in a ponytail with loads of gold earrings in

i did the whole joggers with a polo shirt and the collar up, hair pulled back tightly with chavvy gold jewellery and a pair of bright white nikes when i was 13 lol!!! that was 6yrs ago!!!

now iv got white reeboks, pink and white nike tns and nike airs to wear with jeans, combats and joggers - and not a piece of gold jewellery in sight!!
