Hey guys,

OK ill fill u in! I had a m/c at just over 8 weeks on 19/02/07 and bled for over 6 weeks, I stopped around 3 days ago then yesterday had some fresh blood and spotting which i thought could have been a very light AF as ive had the PMT, spots & cramps to go with it but it only last less than a day.

I want to start charting but dont have a last period date so am lost as to how, should i use yesterday or will i have to wait for a proper period?

Heres how long my cycles were before I got pg:
Aug > Sept - 27days
Sept > Oct - 28days
Oct > Nov - 30days
Nov > Dec - 29days

This is a bit irregular i know, is this normal for some women?

As my cycle is a little irregular do you think charting & ovulation testing is the best way to find out when in ovulating? Im totally new to all this testing etc but thought id give it a shot.

If anyone is willing to help me out a little with things id really appreciate it, maybe on msn or via email. Sorry if im asking too much  just tell me to P O if you like!

Thanks for reading! xxxxxx

Before I got pregnant my periods were like yours, one month 29 days, then 32, then 28, then 30 etc. But I always new when I ovulated as I got a pain in my side, I never charted or anything but I knew roughly when I was fertile.
The best advice I can give you is to relax and try not to stress about it too much (easier said than done I know) Hope this helps, and good luck pet,

Hi Jo
Sorry I can't really help you with the charting as it is not something that I have ever done. But I also had a m/c in December and my periods havn't yet gone backto normal. Before I got pg my af was every 28 days but since my mc they have been every 5 weeks and this month I have gone over the 5 weeks but got no pg symptoms so not holding out any hope.
Sorry can't be of much help but just though I let you know it might take a while for your af to get back to normal.

Hi Jo

I started taking my temperature this month and didn't start on a new period but it has still managed to tell me when i ovulated. Which is a real revelation for me as i normally don't have a clue!! I have really irregular periods, which can range from anything up to 6 months apart! I think yours are quite regular, there are only a couple of days difference and this should make no difference to charting.

I dont profess to be an expert, but if you want any help or want to ask any questions, send me a message!

Hello Happy Chick,

I've been charting since before my m/c and kept charting through-out. I'm now waiting to ovulate after m/c about 3 weeks ago. Feel free to pm me if you want support or have charting questions.

Have you joined Fertility Friend?

You were lovely to me when I was going through a rough time. I'd love to return the favour

Thanks hun, yeah its be be expected I suppose although is really frustrating as im sure you agree! xxx

hi jo

it does seem quite high. i'm not sure about what effect the sleeping tablets would have. do you take them every night? if you do then the increase in temperature it gives you should maybe remain constant and may still show the rise when you ovulate. does that make sense??!! but i'm not sure! i'd do it for a week or so and then you'll have more of an idea.

hope this helps (probably not!!)

Hi Michelle,

Yeh I know what u mean although i dont take the tablets every night so do you think just noting when I do take them may help me suss out if its raising my temperature?

Thanks for advice chick x

Yes, i'd say chart for a week or so and then you will have a better idea of what they do to your temp. You can always tick the box next to where you enter the temp to discard it if they are really putting it out. the line on the graph then skips that temp and would probably give you a more true picture. Maybe??!! I'm hopeless, i'm probably making it worse rather than helping. I'm still learning too!

Keep me updated, i'll keep checking your chart!

Yeah i defo will hun, good luck to you too! xxx

Anyone else know about sleepers?

Hi again HC,

I have been googling this to death and can't find any information on temps being affected by sleeping tabs, so I reckon it would be safe to say they can't have much of an effect of it would be written about somewhere.

check my chart last month and compare it to others if u want , ive got on my chart which nights i took sleeping pills .

remember weather is warmer so expect a rise in temp

oh and bad news , u get a higher temp after ovulating not durring ovulation , but everyones bbt ( resting temp) is different , u may be a hotten

Ive had period like bleeding, CM like im ovulating and high temps all in a few days... Ive done an OPK and thats neg so im not ovulating. im so confused!

Yeah thanks Gem i'll have a look at that. :)
I did my temp about 30min after waking, is that right?

Im suffering from insomnia, severe night terrors & nightmares which have gotten loads worse since my m/c due to emotional stress etc so im trying to control it at mo with sleepers.

Hey hon,

You're supposed to take your temp as soon as you wake before you do anything else as it rises after you wake up. Let's see what you get tomorrow. Oh and I'm with you on the confusing cm, mine has been all over the place this last week.
