where have you bought your changing tables from? i've been trying to find one with drawers, so i don't have to buy a chest of drawers too. but i can't find one anywhere? well, one under £600, lol.

any ideas?

Ikea - £60, its fab.

Once you've stopped using it as a changing table (for us, when DD was strong and could roll and sit up at about 7 months), it converts into a chest of drawers with shelving above - so clever!

I bought also from IKEA but I bought a chest of drawers to put the changing mat on:

Think they were £45. We're going to put some shelves above it too. Perfect storage!

i looked at ikea, and their selection was crap on the website. i guess i'm gonna have to go in the shop?

I got mine off ebay, but its part of a set (cotbed, wardrobe etc). They do have some lovely changing units on ebay (some new and others 2nd hand).

We thought about using a chest of drawers but Im 6 foot and DH is taller so would have been too much of a struggle having to bend down too much!

Ermm not buying one..... just using the changing mat and the floor
There is one we can get that slides on top of cotbed, but dont have the cash at the moment

I ended up buying a small sideboard from Argos. It had cupboards which were the right size for stacking boxes which we use for nappies - 2 for the clean and 2 for the dirty which fit nicely inside. Draws were good for cotton wool, wipes, creams etc so its all in the one place.
We are still using it now (LO is 16 months) and its a godsend. If we do have to change her on the floor she is off all over the place. She stays relatively still on the table, and it saves your back.
I would try freecycle - i painted the one I got anyway so could have got it second hand.

I never bothered with one with the others but this time I saw a bargain in Netto!! lol I got just a normal one and put wicker baskets under and it was only £15!!! :cheer:

My friend gave me mine its a mothercare one with a bath under the changing mat, you can get the same thing in argos still.

I've never used a changing table (I just use a change mat on the floor) but if I did there's one from Ikea in the Leksvik range that's lovely. I can't find it on the website but there's a picture of it on this page.

i saw that on ebay! but obviously it was collection only & the seller lived nowhere near me. that's what i want, it's perfect, but i really can't be bothered trapsing round ikea. i'll have to see if OH can manage on his own!

Argos have got quite a few chests of drawers where you can buy a changer top for them. I am getting the salisbury range.

I got a white and beech one to match my cot, off ebay for £12 :D

We bought this one too but the height is wonky for changing on. Seemed OK when we bought it but it didn't work out when it came to the crunch. Most of the time she's changed on a mat on the floor or on the couch but tbh I'd do that even if I had a changing unit

went to ikea today & bought that exact chest of drawers in a darker wood! not bothered about actually changing him on it, just wanted the storage more than anything.

The Ikea one does look good if I had to buy one but we don't need one as our small room has a box over the stairs if that makes sense which means I have just added a changing mat and some baskets etc.

I'll never forget 5 years ago after we got married & moved in here my went into the small room ad said "oh that's ideal nappy changing height" the look on DH face then was classic :rotfl: but it will be coming in useful very soon

Haha, well I guess there's only one way to find out - tbh it's only really for night-time nappies as most of the time I'll be changing baby wherever suits, but with not having a bed in that room the drawers will be as good as anything!
