Okay so i have finally been referred to a gyny with suspected endo, and am currently not having any period at all (haven't done for a couple months) does anyone know what the chances are of conceiving without periods? i know it's unlikely but just wondering if i should give up all hope until it's sorted?
babydust!

hiya......are you actually ovulating? xx

I got my bfp after 5 months of no period! Just takes one eggy to get released and then it can happen. So although it's less likely don't give up hope!

Hi Corky, I have endometriosis but so far this has not affected my cycles. I had an operation 2 months ago to remove what they found. Are you booked in for a laparoscopy? This is the only way they can confirm if you have endometriosis and is a small keyhole procedure. x

i think that's what i'm getting yeah i've had my ultrasound and stuff, i had constant bleeding for a few months now nothing so it really has effected my cycles! thanks guys you're making me feel a little more positive :) and Samsgirl i don't know if i'm ovulating, i was considering trying the test kits but considering i hve NO idea where i am days wise i'd have to spend a fortune on tests hahaha x

When you have the laparoscopy they will check all your ovaries, tubes etc to see if they have been affected by endometriosis. I have been lucky so far as I've been told everything is okay with my ovaries etc. I had the internal ultrasound 3 times which showed a haematoma and confused all the medical staff until I had the laparoscopy done which showed the endometriosis was the cause of it. I think they could do a blood test to see if you have ovulated, might be best to ask your doctor about that. x

Hi corky :)

I have endo & lap in 2007. My last cycles were nov 10 and feb 11, got bfp in June 11 so it can happen! :)

Sadly i lost that bean but I haven't lost faith! I had spotting in October...so I'm hoping they will regulate but got to wait till new year for more tests.

Endo only in severe cases can affect fertility but people with endo still conceive and have healthy pregnancies. In some instances pregnancy can get rid of endo.

You can have mild endo and have irregular cycles and in some instances have severe endo and be like clock work. Its very common to conceive shortly after having a lap so stay positive as hard as it can be.

I find endo affects my (sorry tmi) bowels I find it really painful to go when AF shows up it's alot of pressure there. I get regular pain most days but it's mild niggling pains so hard to symptom spot when ttc.

I hope it goes well for you xxx

I really hope when I get pregnant it gets rid of my endo as I'm fed up with the pains, I'm sure even though I only had the operation done 2 months ago that the pains are returning! I suffered with extreme cramping pains before my operation, it was so bad that I was admitted to hospital for a couple of days which led to the investigation of what was causing it. x

don't worry about the TMI my symptoms are exactly the same, particularly hurts after babydancing which is unfortunate when trying to conceive! Find myself doing a lot of gritting teeth haha! well fingers crossed i will get my babybump soon, they won't do any fertility based bloods or anything at the moment until this issue is sorted, also i've only been trying for about a year and four months so they don't think it's 'long enough' xxx

Hopefully, once you have the procedure done they will be able to remove the endo (if that's what it is) and then get you back on track for your BFP. Good luck with it all, let us know how you get on. x

P.S. Your dog is sooo cute! I'm such a dog lover, have 3 of my own. x

Yeah it's terrible after dtd sometimes, it got do bad it nearly put me off...that would be criminal!

Emma-that sounds really painful! I used to take but memfamic Acid but not whilst ttc

It doesn't matter it's only been four months if you have no AF and regular pain it's good to get the lap done, it's quite painless just a bit woozy afterwards.

Sometimes pain can be horrendous, the only thing I have come across is that clomid can sometimes make it worse esp if the endo is stuck to the bowel...oh the joys!

Good luck hun let us all know how you get on.xx

thanks guys i will keep you updated! and yeah he's such a cutie, he's my baby number 1, not sure how pleased he'll be when i do eventually get my little one ;) he'll have to learn to share haha x

I've not been advised on anything that can help with the pain so just been relying on normal painkillers, my next follow up appointment isn't until April but they did say if pains get worse to go back. x

hahaha, i worry about that too, especially with one of my dogs who is so clingy to me and follows me everywhere, he will not be happy with a new arrival! x

bless, i take feminax by the way, i know it's for pmt but it's fantastic, two of those really takes the edge off i find when i'm at my worst xx

Oh might give them a go then, aspirin usually works for me but your not supposed to take when ttc I've heard. I also was given tramadol for extreme pain, I avoid taking these as they knock you for six and are no good when you have to go to work as you just want to sleep! lol.
