Cervix

This is TMI really and is a stupid question but how should a cervix feel generally when pregnant?

Im 9 weeks and Ive never really felt my cervix before but checked it today and its quite low and a bit like a nose with a hard bit behind it. It has a deep dimple on the end but Im worried its open and dont know how it should feel. Can anyone help me with my silly question before I drive myself crazy googling or go running to the Drs with no need?

OH I love you lol. I was worrying it was open but then, I dont know what feels like either lol. I wish Id checked it more along the way although I dont think its necessary but Im a worrier

I could never actually tell if/when mine was open, just when it was soft or hard

I think if you can feel a little dimple at the end it means its closed tho x

Thats good *phew* its a deep dimple but I cant put my finger in it or anything. Im one of these people who will keep checking it now and make myself ill.

I've still never felt mine, I have no desire! However, I know from ante-natal classes that it should feel like a nose, and that when it feels like lips it's ready to open.

I dont normally CantStop but Im being neurotic and stupid so poking and prodding at myself is a 'thing' at the moment lol

lol I had no desire to feel mine either, and didn't for about a year. Then everyone else did and I felt left out

Your middle finger is the length of your vagina and it should be felt pretty much straight away with that I think

It's only easy when you know what you are looking for, it took me a while to find mine but once you know what you are looking for it's easy peasy. I find it best to squat (if you can still do that) lol x

I think she had to open herself up with the duck beak thing for want of a better word and then get someone else with a camera to zoom in, nice

Brings a whole new meaning to finding Nemo finding cervix!!!
