Hi been to the midwife today for a check up.. Just been looking at my notes and it says ceph-brim.. Now i know ceph means head down but what does the brim bit mean ? This is my 2nd child and there will be neally a 7 year gap . I was told with ur 2nd the head doesnt engage until u go into labour but do u think this will be the case with the amount of years between them ?

not sure as on mine it says ceph the relation to brin "free" meaning not engaged

7 year gap between my two as well.

ceph-brim means head down with head at the brim of ur pelvis as far as i know :) so ready to engage kinda thing.

Yeah it means head down and not engaged but babys head is at the brim of your pelvis. Good position for a 2nd baby! :cheer:
