i've never been before but we're thinking about going over my birthday next month.

any reccomendations as to which one? we are in scotland, so closest to whinfell forest, but we wouldn't mind driving further away if the others are better.

it would more than likely just be me, OH and aiden, so it would have to be baby friendly :)

thanks!!

We've been twice now to Longleat and absolutely loved it.
It is just so perfect for children. Every restaurant has high-chairs and children's menus. Some have play areas in them aswell. There is so much for them to do. They have a creche too and a babysitting service.
OH and I had a great time (mainly because Tom enjoyed it so much) and loved the cycling, fresh air and general atmosphere.
We booked a few things...craft session for Tom, pony and trap ride (NB: That is not rhyming-slang!) around the village etc. etc.
I would really recommend it.

Been to Sherwood and Longleat and they were both fab. I absolutely love it and can't wait to go with Becky but it's soo expensive in school holidays.

I've been to 2 different ones, Elveden and Sherwood. Out of these 2 I would recommend Elveden as Sherwood seemed a bit rundown in comparison, and Elveden has a better pool. I'm not sure how Elveden compares to the other 2 though. I heard you can get better accommodation at Whinfell, and I think Whinfell has some sort of water ride or something that the others don't. You can compare them all on the website I think.

It will be brill! I love it at CenterParcs!

We went to Whinfell in October and loved it. Not been to any of the others so can't comment but don't think you'd be disappointed if you booked Whinfell.

Only thing is, most of the shops, restaurants etc are based in the centre of the village and some of the accommodation on the outskirts seemed quite a distance to walk, although there are plenty of paths, but just something to consider with a LO. Maybe worth checking on the village map whereabouts you'd be based before you book.... or definitely hire bikes!!
