CD01 first month trying

I'm so excited.

So after we decided we'd start trying this month AF decided to show up a week later than expected. However finally it's CD01 whoop whoop

I'm going to try and hold off testing until the 12th May if AF doesn't show before then; as that fits in with me having another longer cycle and means I won't get my hopes up if I just assume I'm running on 35 day cycles rather than 28 days. But I will probably end up testing on the 5th instead. I might wait and see how my CM is this month as last month I had EWCM for about a week longer than usual; so I'm assuming I ovulated a week later too.

Anyway I'm rambling; I'm just so excited that we're finally trying we've been talking about it for years and things have always got in the way. Husband is now comfortable enough and broody enough to say nows the time and he isn't worried about us not being ready.

Is anyone else starting their cycle now?

Thank you both I'll be sure to keep you updated. Can't stay off of here to be honest.

This AF is continuing to be weird, lots of light bleeding yesterday and it's stopped today - I have had this happen before so I expect I will continue with some spotting later and then have a heavier bleed maybe tomorrow. So not sure exactly what I should count as CD01, which probably goes more in favour on holding off testing until later in the month.
