Carrying High, or Low etc??!!

A girl in work today commented on how high I was carrying, and then asked was it a boy! As I am not really keeping the gender a secret I told her it was a girl.....and she seemed really genuinely shocked!!!!!
Not knowing much about the theory, I asked a friend what it was all about, and she said that if your bump is more square shaped and neat its meant to mean a boy, and if you are more rounded it is meant to mean a girl!!
It kind of amused me and annoyed me at the same time...people just seem fascinated with analysing my bump!!!! lol
Anyone else finding the same thing happening to them?

I thought it was if you was carrying high its ment to be a girl and if your low its a boy, i was carrying high with my first and i was carry a girl this time im carrying low and its a boy bit i think its a co-incident as this baby seems to not move much from out of my pelvis, its amazing that people actually think the shape of your bump is an indication of what your babys sex is but suppose they have a 50% chance of getting it right, its the same with bump size when they think if your big then your going to have a big baby when i know many people who have had lovely impressive bumps but have 6lb babys xx

I'm carrying very low and I'm having a girl.
Depending on who I'm speaking too, I'm either really neat or absolutely massive. So I tend not to pay attention to wat anyone thinks lol x

ive carried quite neat and high and everyone says different genders to me aswell x

i think my bump is high an think its a boy as a gut feeling and I also think my bump is quite neat but loads of folk have said I am massive and gonna be huge by 9 months but for being halfway through I think I am still fairly neat xx

Its a load of rubbish everyone carries differently.
ive been all out front big round bump with all three of my pregnancies, only difference for me i noticed was the girls i carried high up this little man low low down lol

I agree with mrsyogi , on the theroy being rubbish as I carry all very low down ,but I do tend to have more weight gain on my bum and hips with girls and sadly no it doesn't go at birth or anytime soon after either , xx

It's a load of rubbish I'm always told that since I have had heartburn since day 1 of the pregnancy, then I am definatly having a boy....

Definitely think it's a load of rubbish! I'm carrying really low and expecting a boy, but my bump changes shape and position so often! Also, from 'the way I was carrying', everyone told me I was having a girl lol xx

yeah its definitely old wives tales...it just amazes me how people really do believe it and the girl who commented about my bump in work was so shocked that she was wrong!!!
I got more comments today from a couple of other people about having a tiny wee bump, and the look of shock on their faces as if it was abnormal!!!!!!! People and their opinions eh!!!! lol

My mentor at work loves to go on about how huge I am, and getting bigger each week..
Others comment on how neat my bump is, and laugh if I say 'watch my fat ass'..

I dont listen anymore tbh, I think my bump is fairly neat and rounder than it was. I dunno if its low or high though... x
