I've got the icandy strawberry 2 which has a separate carrycot and pushchair component. Unfortunately my lo has never been that keen on the carrycot unless he's tired and will sleep but if he's awake he wants to see what's going on which he can't really do lying flat so we get lots of grumbling and sometimes end up carrying him or using the car seat on the pram for short periods instead which isn't ideal. The pushchair part says it is suitable for 6 months plus but is it necessary to wait until 6 months before using it? My lo is now 5 months so I know it's not long to wait but I just wondered whether some babies are ready earlier and what I should look for? x

I have the peach and my ds1 was a huge baby and pretty much out grew the carrycot by 10 weeks so was in the pushchair fully reclined. I would never have been able to keep him in the carrycot until 6mths. x

We have the peach and our lg moved in at 4 months but used it slightly reclined and protected her neck and face with a muslin where the straps were higher

I have a different travel system but my LO outgrew his carrycot part at 3months and moved into his buggy part then but with it reclined. He now wants to have it bolt upright and facing outwards - growing too fast!x

My LO is also 5 month and ive just transferred him to the buggy rather than carry cot... He doesnt seem to look really comfy but he doesn't whinge, he seems to enjoy looking at everything lol! he refuses point blank to lie in his carrycot and spends the whole walk trying to sit up which is provlbs working wonders on his stomach muscles xxx

J was in his pushchair around 4m.

He didnt fit in the carrycot!!

xxx

We have an Oyster which also says pram until 6 months but she hated it and we moved her to the reclined pushchair seat at 4 months.

My LO is 4 months and completely fills her carrycot so we will be moving her into the pushchair attachment. I think she will love it as she is very nosey!

It's good to know that other people have switched to the pushchair before 6 months and it's not just my lo being awkward! Think I'll give it a try in a week or so xx

Well done getting to 5 months. My little girl got to 14 weeks & we put her in the seat unit.

Hi Hun I have the exact same pram and I've noticed Harrison wants to see everything too I asked a friend on switching and got told not too until he could Sit unaided but he's ready now I have switched yet as I'm a worrier but if you feel your
Little one is ready just have it reclined all the way and see how he feels xxx

I put him in it for the first time this weekend and he seems to like it! I've got it on the mid setting so half reclined and he can still have a good nosey. I don't think most 6 month olds can sit unaided - my lo is nearly 6 months and can't but his back is quite strong and he sits up straight, I think that's probably the key thing so lo isn't slumping. I think most people probably switch before 6 months but I'm a bit of a worrier like you xx

That's what Harrison does too he can sit on my knee and is pretty strong he's always been a strong baby I may switch this weekend and see how he goes he is only 16 weeks this Saturday coming so as I do worry I'm hmming and ahhing over it. Glad your lo liked it though :) xxx

Hi I have the Peach 3 in fuchsia! Welcome to the Icandy club! I know my seat unit has three different positions.... does yours? If so I think you should just swap it. I had the carrycot but my LO wa out of it by the time she was 4 months! Waste of money considering the price but hey ho.... My Lo can hold up her head and is pretty good with Tummy time....I have it set to the middle setting ....the one inbetween fully reclined and fully sitting up! Your LO should be fine!!
