I've had a numb, tingly, pins and needles sensation in one of my fingers for a coupe of days, so I googled it and this was the common result. Does anyone else have it? It's not painful at all, more annoying the anything else, but aparantly quite common in pregnant women.

I have this in both hands, but I only get the pins and needles/ numbness over night and then my hands spasm and cramp throughout the day!

I wear splints at night th try and help and the MW told me to today to drink swepps tonic water (little yellow cans) as an ingredient helps elevate the cramping!

I suffered in one hand before pregnancy but is 100% worse since

Was diagnosed with this pre pregnancy and it's definitely gotten worse as my pregnancy has progressed. Mine is in my thumb and three fingers each side!

Splints can help (lots of them available on amazon) I wear mine over night, and hanging your hand over the edge of the bed when sleeping seems to help too. Fx yours doesn't get any worse

Xx

I had this so severely in my first pregnancy, just in both my thumbs, but the pain was agonising. I was often in tears. You know if you caught your thumb on your pocket or something. Jeez! I can feel myself curling up whilst remembering that pain, and it took til dd was 5 months old before it disappeared!

I think this is what I've been suffering with at night aa my hands go numb and the cramps wake me up and the pain is so bad ive nearly been in tears some nights. Im going to ask my consultant tomorrow as it's been happening every night for the past few weeks and never experienced it before. Might try the splints if my consultant thinks it may be this xxx

At night I'm starting to more and more frequently get painful pins and needles in my hands which is harder to get rid of than usual pins and needles. If it stays as is iitlk venom just hoping it doesn't get worse or start yo happen through the day :s

I have it, but not pregnancy related. I'm a software developer, so spend too much typing and using a mouse. I heard that it can get worse in pregnancy though.

Try to think what it is that causes it. My guess would be texting on your phone or working on a tablet? If you can identify the action that causes it, better to try to limit it or find other hand posture for it x

It's water retention pressing on the nerves in your hands. The splints restrict the movement a bit so slightly less painful with those on.

I can cry with pain, which actually wakes me in the night.. I did buy splints from Lloyds pharmacy which were £18 each, but touch wood the pain has gone and just leaves me slightly numb throughout the day. Fingers crossed it goes for us after babies have been born

I sometimes get tingles in the tip of my little finger - can't imagine what action would cause that! It comes and goes, and isn't painful, so I'm not worried about it.

It's just one finger for me, my ring finger on my left hand, so it doesn't get much use lol. Over a week later and it's still numb/tingly. I guess I'll just put up with it for now :)
