Can't find work or even work experience :/

I've been out of work since Feb 2012, I've been applying and looking for all sorts and not even one interview - i've recently started asking places for work experience and i still get nothing back and they wont even be paying me!
I don't want to do nothing for my whole pregnancy cos there will be a huge gap on my CV where ive not worked for so long and then it'll be harder to find work once LO is born!

Depends what kind of work experience your looking for but my mates daughter started volunteering at a local charity shop for experience to put on her cv, dont know how old you are but hers led to an apprenticeship so now she's being paid

I'm 21, i'm too old for an apprenticeship and with LO on the way an apprenticeship wage would be impossible. I have loads of experience in retail so working in a charity shop would be a waste of time and bus fairs for me. I'm trying to get experience in hospitality like bar work/waitressing or even the kitchens - i dont even mind if it's just a sandwich shop just aslong as it's along the same lines.
