Have any of you ladies had to cancel a holiday due to unexpectedly falling pregnant?
We were due to take my wee guy to Orlando just after his 3rd birthday but have recently found out we are expecting again and I will be 37 weeks when we are due to go.
Were the airlines helpful with you or did you have to claim through travel insurance?

Hi CDx, I have cancelled New York as I would have been 28 weeks. I booked through thomas with klm and as it was a cheap airline they wouldn't let me move the date or do a name change. I had no insurance yet so I lost £800 :(. I think it depends on who you have booked with x

I'm booked for a holiday in November but with being pregnant with twins and being 24 weeks I don't think I'll be able to go Is a 21 hour flight so would be a massive strain. I imagine we will lose all the money unless the insurance will accept and unfit to fly letter!

Thanks ladies. Hope you get things sorted.

We've spoke to the villa owners they are happy to transfer our booking so it's just Virgin airline but given everything going on with the hurricanes its not urgent for us to phone just now since they'll have enough going on with trying to get people home safely.

I'm hoping they allow us to move dates too but I know either way I'll definitely get an unfit to fly letter from the consultant. Just hoping our insurance through our bank covers it - I've checked with them before and they said all pregnancy related illnesses were covered while I was away - we went to Singapore and Thailand when I was 10 weeks pregnant with my son - but dont know if canceling altogether would be covered.
