Can you get a line after ov???

Hi Girls
I have not posted on this thread before and just wanted some of you more experinced ladies advice.
I have tracked my ovulation on a calender and should have been any time from 11th to tommorrow the 16th but as i had not experienced any egg white cm (i usually do) i decided to buy some OPK,.Ihave just done one and there is a faint line in the test window,so do you think i have still not ovulated? or after you have ovulated is there still enough hormones to show a line on a OPK?

LH which is what an opk picks up can be present in low amounts in the body at all times so can create faint lines on an opk. The line has to be darker or equal to the control line to be positive as this shows that LH is surging which leads to ovulation. You can get a faint line on an opk all the time and then just get it go darker at ovulation.

have you been BD around the time you expected O just in case you did but didn't experience any eycm? keep going with the tests to make sure though.

Thanks for the reply, only managed BD once as my partner works shifts and was hoping was still in with a chance if we tonight but doesnt look like it now i have done the test.Never mind i will do the rest of the tests and see what happens,and will make sure i am more organised with the OPK next month!
