Here I go stressing again

If you are taking ibuprofen or antibiotics around the time you are ovulating, can that prevent you from conceiving? I know you can't take ibuprofen and certain antibiotics when you are pregnant.

There are certain antibiotics like Trimethoprim which are linked with birth defects but doctors won't normally prescribe the 'risky' antibiotics to women of child bearing age.

I don't think any common medications are linked with conception difficulties though. Anyone else knoe?

I'm not certain, but I'd avoid taking ibuprofen unless you are cramping from AF's visit. Can you take paracetemol instead for any aches and pains you've got?

As for antibiotics, just tell your GP that you are TTC and he/she will perscribe antibiotics which will not harm the baby should you be pregnant. This is what I did when I had my second UTI and I wasn't certain if I was pregnant. Better safe than sorry.
