i just bought some tesco finest ham its wiltshire crumbed cured ham on the packet it says its been cooked, is this ok to eat ? i just panicked when i read the word cured lol! xxx

I know it sounds mad but I don't worry too much about what I eat cos I do most of my cooking myself aha. It's the best way, cook it yourself then you won't have to worry! :) xxx

its fine smoked and cured products are fine and sandwich fillers are fine too as they are all cooked it's the risk of food poisoning you have to becareful of so if its in date and it's cooked your fine i craved blue cheese all through my pregnancy and you get told not to eat it however if it's melted on toast and hot it's fine because the bacteria has been cooked out of it :D i have also eaten shellfish and other sea food just making sure it is cooked properly but it is all about your comfort zone and what you feel comfortable eating if you dont want to risk something then don't but if you want to fill your face with something you really love then as long as it is hot all the way through chances are unless you are allergic to it, it will do baby no harm at all :)
happy baby growing :D

I was told by my gp as long as things are well cooked you can eat most things. Told to stay away from blue cheese & Brie, and not allowed my super rare steaks any more :( lol.
He also said that peanuts are fine to eat, and shellfish is fine as long as you've cooked it. He said there's a chance the restaurants could under cook shellfish which can be dangerous.
