Well I'm gonna do one whether you say yes or not

There are so many of you lot that I dont recognise your names as I think many of you seem to stick to the TTC boards, unlike me the old forum hag

Anyways, thought it would be nice to get to know you all a bit better!

I am Sarah (25yrs) and I am married to Brian (35yrs), we have been together almost 9yrs, married 4.5yrs. We already have a daughter Arianna-Skye who is 2yrs old. This is our first month of TTCing.
Brian works for an offshore drilling company and is currently based inbetween Nova Scotia and Newfoundland so he is only home for 12days then away for 28-35days at a time, so it is a bit of a bugger at the moment!
We live on the outskirts of Aberdeen in a 2bed apartment, but are in the process of looking for a bigger house. I am still waiting to get my visa for moving to the USA so that we can be closer to Brian's work (his Head Office is based in Houston... also where his family are from so makes sence to move there!)

Well think that is it..... please tell me alllllllllll about you lovely lot now :)

 I'm Bex (26). My lovely husband Andy (34) and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary on 1st December.

I'm a speech therapist and he's a bakery manager (he works nights which is why I'm always here in the evenings!)

I joined the forum at the end of september/beginning of october when we got a BFP (we weren't actively ttc at the time) but unfortunately this turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. We decided after that to ttc properly and got BFP again at beginning of november, but unfortunately we just lost that baby at around 5 weeks. So, we've decided to ttc again and are praying for a sticky baby this time

I love all my lovely girlies here on the forum

PMSL, DH had that set for his alarm about a year ago and I threatened to throw the fooking thing out of the window if he didn't change it. he did of course but now we have fooking Alan Partridges DAN DAN DAN, OMG :rotfl: :rotfl:

What a lovely thread it's nce to be able to put a bit more substance to the names you see on here.

I'm Becs, married to Andrew and have a son, Austin who we tried very hard for and were lucky to conceieve after a year of miscarriages and chemical pregnancies. Austin arrived over two months early so we had a turbulent start to parenthood with his first 6 weeks in hospital and finally coming home weighing just 4Ibs 6ozs.

Here again hoping for a smoother run into first tri, but having already had one mc since Austin we are ready for another long haul.

Getting babies to stick may not be our forte but we are extremely happy, very much in love with each other and Austin (who I just about resist eating every day).

I'm 33 and was a tv set designer but am now a Mum full time (hurrah)

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I'm Lorna 28 and hubby is 29, we have been ttc number 1 since June. We got married 3 and a half years ago but been together 7 years.

I don't work due to illness unfortunately but was a lawyer in my previous life, because of illness we have only given ourselves a year to get pregnant so are under a bit of a deadline! If i'm not pregnant by then I should really be going back onto some strong medication and get well again as I would have been off meds for 2 years by then. If we are not pg by June then we may adopt or foster or something.

We have just moved down to the south coast for hubbys job, so I am still trying to find my feet round here and make some friends, it's hard though without kids, i'd look a bit weird pitching up to Mums and baby groups on my tod

Wow Lorna, what a star! Good luck, let's hope it takes much less than a year to conveive so you can start attending those social groups - I moved out of London to Kent and felt the same way until I managed to get a baby on the way x x

Hello eveyone...lovley to meet you all.

I'm Kerri and my fiance is Matt we've been together for just over 4 years, we brought our house together in April 2007 and we got engaged in April of this year.

I had a career change the beginning of this year i was a paralegal but now i'm a nursery nurse and university student studying for a degree in early childhood studies and my OH is a ICT support analysis.

We have been through an awful lot in the past 4 years; both lost family members, i had trouble in my previous work place due to being over weight which caused us alot of stress, i've now lost over 4 stone so i'm on my way to a slimmer self!, unfortunatly i've been very ill recently and doctors are still sorting me out...i could keep going but i wont!.

Anyway...we have desided that we are ready to start our family and will be TTC from January 2009. :D

 I'm the grandma of the group - I sit in the corner in my rocking chair and as long as you make me tea and keep me warm (a rug around my knee) and occasionally listen to my "tales of old" I'm happy! Really I am 44 and shouldn't be here - but dh (25 years married) and I decided to try and have one last edition - didn't you know 44 is the new 24 :rotfl: :rotfl:

By the way Kerri I'm studying for a BA in Early Childhood Studies too, in my 2nd year now, gave up my previous job (school library manager 10 years - which I loved) to do this and I'm loving every minute. What year are you?

Thanks for the thread such a nice idea

love and hugs and bfps to all

Hi lovely ladies,

well I'm 26, and my DH is 39 and we only got married in September this year, been together for 4 years. We both work teaching adults with special needs (I specialise in supporting Autistic Adults).

I've been broody my whole life, and seriously can't believe I am finally trying. We are very excited about it all, though I just can't imagine it actually happening. Trying damn hard to make sure it does though  This is only our second proper cycle trying so fingers crossed.

Am also addicted to this forum!

Hi girls

Im Kelly, Im 26 and have been with my husband Adam for nearly 6 years, married since April 2008. We have a son Jamie who was four today. I had a really difficult pregnancy and a traumatic birth and recovery with Jamie, its taken me four years to pluck up the courage to ttc baby #2 which is where we are now. We are in our second month of ttc.

My DH is in the army and we have been based in Cyprus since July of this year. Found it a bit difficult at first being so far from home but its getting easier now. This forum and meeting all you lovely ladies has been fantastic.

Ive done a bit of everything really, qualified as a nursery nurse, trained to be a midwife and at present am working as supervisor of the creche on our base. Im starting a History degree in Feb with the OU with a view to primary teaching.

Im really enjoying getting to know everybody and hope that we all get our BFPs soon xxx
