Can blood tests be wrong?

My blood test has shown up negetive but i still havent had a period since 14th may, are they ever wrong?

hcg counts? I've heard they can be and follow-up bloods are sometimes best but no AF and no pregnancy is also possible. I would ask my doctor if there's any tests to take to explain no period if your usually regular.

Have you came off the pill recently? I've heard people say it had an effect on their periods sometimes with large gaps but one lady I knew was over 100 days since last AF and she got a BFP a couple of months on.

I'm sure they are wrong sometimes. They aren't 100% accurate.

Have you had any symptoms of pregnancy?

ive just been to the doctors and he wants to do another blood test but to test some other things, he did feel around my stomach because i had complained of back pains but i wasnt sure if it was pains of pregnancy or my kidneys. Ive never had any problem of anything ever before so it deffinately isnt right, he said hes going to test for amenorrhea? i have no idea what these things are or even if im saying them right because its hard to read what hes written down..protactin? fbc? fsh & wh (or might say lh), t ft? and testosterome. i didnt even know woman had testosterome lol?

does anyone know anything about what im being tested for or if there is still a chance of still being pregnant, ive been with my partener for over 2 years now and have never been on any contraceptive
my periods are always on time, and i have never been more than like a day or 2 late before, not 2 months :S

do you think there is something wrong with me?

My older sister was the same as you, was late and went doctors for a blood test and came back negative....then 2 months later found out she was pregnant!

omg, so theres still hope yet! My partner is addiment that im pregnant, i suppose he would know when somethings up, ive been very grumpy and snappy just lately but that could just be me. But the doctor said he will do an ultra sound once these tests are done. I think the doc thinks its something else.
I do hope im preganant as im now getting worried i could have problems concieving x

Yes blood tests tend to be the best in detecting pregnancy, but it all depends on your hormone and HGC levels at the time of taking the blood test...Apperantly my sister's levels were not high until she was 3 months pregnant! Upto she was 2 months gone she was still getting Negative pregnancy test results on HPT's

i know for 100% they can be wrong, my friend was pregnant and kept getting negatives, so went for a blood test and again came back negative, a week later she took another test as still hadnt had her period but this time she was 8 weeks pregnant, so yes its possible

Oreally, see the doctor seems addiment they cant be wrong, but i hear so many people saying that they can be! how did she finally find out?
