Can anyone read hospital notes?

Basically a urine sample has been sent, as you have previously been on antibiotics for a UTI, and the leukocyte count is high, and you have traces of ketones in you urine.

If for whatever reason your body cannot get enough glucose for energy, it will begin to usebody fats leading to an increase in ketone production. High ketone levels can be due to poorly managed diabetes, not eating enough or a high fat diet. x

I was quizzed on my diet and told I'm not eating enough lol. She also said it could be because my appointments tend to be very early in the morning and sometimes I've been too sick to keep down breakfast so that's why that is showing up.
Why do the leukocytes, protein and blood show if there's no infection? (I've sent off countless samples and they all say no infection and the only time I've been given a prescription was cos I ended up in a+e with the pain) Xxxx

I have only been back on my good as I had awful ms but I do eat healthy. I guess it's just a wait and see what they say x

I'll ask one of the consultants tomorrow at work and see what they say
Wouldn't want to give you info if Im not 100% sure..

No probs hun, happy to help One of the perks of the job I suppose!! Usually its just a receptionist who delivers the results, and they wouldn't know enough to tell you what it means. xxx
