hi myself and partner have been together for 10 weeks
we both left unhappy marriages to be together
we move intogether at 8 weeks
and after being told we couldnt have children due to her endrometriosos, we are now expecting our first child
my partner is 6 week pregnant and all is ok with that
the problem is shes had a nervous breakdown
blaming her break up of a marriage, hurting people, not finding herself and us going to quick
shes moved back into her mums and now doesnt want contact with me as she needs space
is this normal with early pregnancy hormones
please help as im going out of my mind

I think first of all, give her space. Let her know you care and support her, but then give her time to sort her head out. It sounds like you both have a lot to process!

Yeah I don't think this has anything to do with hormones, sounds just like everything has changed and you both will need to come to terms before you will be able to find contented happiness with each other.

That could take years. I recommend throwing yourself into your thoughts and finding a place where you can accept everything that's happened and allow your partner space to do the same. Rushing it or blaming it on something else, making it seem insignificant or trivial is damaging, disrespectful and completely counter-productive.

You might have both been unhappily married but you should both experience at least a bit of guilt before you settle down and expect your share of some happiness.

More than anything you need to respect her decision.
