Well after a long stressful 8 month pregnancy my little boy cabhan had arrived safe and sound.
I was induced at 36+3 due to static growth and low liquor volume, firstly I was given propess for 24 hours which didn't work, then I was given another propess for 24 hours which also didn't work so I was taken down to delivery late night in 29.08.12 to have my waters broken and omg near enough as soon as she broke my waters my contractions started more or less straight away, I was then put on a hormone drip to speed it up and given gas and air to take away well some of the pain, by 2cm dilated I could not handle the pain so was given the epidural which chilled me out quite a lot and made me sleep during contractions.
10 minutes later I was checked again because I felt the urge to push and was found to be only 4cm but by this time everything went wrong, 3 doctors came running in the room because cabhans heart beat was dropping to 60bpm on every contraction, I was so scared, OH went for a walk because he was terrified and couldn't watch then more or less straight after he left the room the midwives had to shout him in because cabhans head was hanging out of me, 3 minutes of pushing and cabhan was born weighing 5lb at the 5.29am on 30.08.12, absolutely nothing wrong with him, perfect in every way possible. So proud that he didn't have to go to scbu and he proved everyone wrong.. Here's a photo
