C section wound

Hey ladies,

Just a quick question for those of you who have had a section... How long did your wound weep for (if it did)?

I'm 2 and a bit weeks on from mine and the wound is still weeping, not loads and loads, but enough. Its not smelly or creamy, in fact is kinda clear straw coloured and the wound is clean and not painful or swollen, so I don't think its infected, just thought it would have stopped by now.

Not a particularly helpful reply I'm afraid, but mine didn't weep after the first few days. It had stopped by time stitches came out at day 5 definitely.

Just make sure to keep it clean and dry it thoroughly after showering.

I can't remember mine ever weeping after I'd left hospital (which was 40 hours after section). My wound healed pretty well although 14 months on its still abit itchy in one spot.

I'd just keep an eye on it and make sure you're not trying to do too much as that can slow the healing process

Mine weeped a bit, but it was smelly too so I knew I'd got an infection. It took a couple of weeks to put right x

I don't remember my first one weeping very much. This time around I've not even dared to look yet!
