Had my third c-section a week ago and I'm currently lying in my first bath.
I asked my surgeon if he would be trimming away old scar tissue and he said yes however after the op he said there'd been no need as everything is great in there (bonus right?)
Well now I can have a good feel and I swear the scar tissue has tripled :( its a massive rectangular lump all the way along and it feels at least 2 inches thick :(

Do you think it'll go down in time or is this it now after so many ops on the same site?

tapatalking!!!

As I've only had the 1 section I couldn't offer any advice on old scaring - but remember everything is going to be swollen and thick at the moment I would say if it still doesn't feel right after you have had your stitches/staples out and a few days have passed then to mention it to your midwife xx

I have all dissolving stuff. Nothing needing removed. Its just worried me a little as obviously when the time comes it'll be another section and I don't want it anymore difficult and risky than it already will be x

tapatalking!!!

I have no personal experience with c sections but with my ovarian surgery the scars were really thick and raised at first and now they are just like little marks on my skin. Are you getting seen by anyone for your post-delivery checks now? X

I saw a midwife a few times and seeing one again on Tuesday but they're all very 'hands off' around my tummy. I guess that's just procedure under the circumstances x

Vitamin E is good for scar tissue hun so you could take a supplement, it helps the scar tissue to knit together stronger ready for next time xxxxxx

All the dissolvable stitches and swelling can make the scar tissue seem really bulky at first but it will go down, when its looking healed start really rubbing and massaging it all with a good moisturiser like e45 and it should feel much better sweetie xxx
