C section pre op today

I have my c section pre op today, can anyone tell me what to expect? Last time I had one was 10 year ago x

What time?! I have my consultant appointment in half an hour to discuss having my c-section and getting it booked in. Very nervous, but will be glad to have a date!

Not had one myself but seen others say its about lots consent forms and blood being taken

I had mine over 15yrs ago and I was so young and naive I can't remember anything prior to the procedure. I would imagine though it's just checks to make sure your body will cope with the surgery. Paperwork and a chance for you to ask any questions.

I had mine in November 2013. From what I can remember, the midwife went through what would happen on the day, told me what time to come in etc. I was weighed and had my bp taken. I was also given all the pre-meds (anti-sickness tablets and something else I can't remember) and told what times to take them. All very straightforward! xx

It's at 12.30 today. I've to be in hospital for 7.30am on Tuesday morning and baby will be here by 9am ..... This time in 4 days il have my rainbow princess. X

I really want to sort my section date but I have a low lying placenta at the moment so they need to see if it moves on my 28 weeks scan...also have gestational diabetes so told with everything going on could be anything from 37-39 weeks, I hate waiting Lol.

This is what I'm dealing with at the moment!

Initially I got told 39 weeks, but baby is now measuring big and I'm having another GTT cos my first one was borderline high.

I've had to ask my dad to book time off for it incase he needs to pick my son up if OH gets stuck in hospital with me. His face was a picture when I told him it would be anytime in a three week window!

That seems really short notice to give you s date. I got my date at 32 weeks. What will happen if your placenta hasn't moved? X

When you due littlemonkey? I have a consultant review on Tuesday but they still won't give me my section date until after the 28 week scan. I do have a private 4d scan booked for this coming Saturday as a treat for our two boys so they can see their little brother so hoping will find out what's happening with my placenta before the next scan...
