My obstetrician booked my C section for next Tuesday... I am excited and nervous, but anxious to meet my baby girl!

:yay: Good luck for next week, I hope the wait isn't too difficult :)

Thanks Inky,
I am sure the wait will be ok... I am super nervous about the whole surgery idea behind it and the recovery...

Don't worry the section bit is fine, all lovely and controlled and calm when elective.

They are leaving you close tok the wire tho hun, Mines 39 weeks plus , but yours is waiting till 39 weeks plus 6 days? Do you mind me asking why are they waiting so long?

Ooh 23rd November birthday?!

All the best people have that birthday you know! ;)

And if you're into your star signs it means baby will just make it and be a Sagittarius.

Good luck! Xxx

I am a Sagittarius too! December 21st though (right on the cusp of Capricorn)

Last week they checked my bloods to see if i still had elevated bile acids, which i didn't (if i did they would have induced me immediately) They are worried about the size of the baby versus the size of me, and the elevated amniotic fluid. The consultant has opted for a C section to be able to deliver the baby safely. I guess she chose next Tuesday because she is working that day and she is the one who will deliver the baby.

Good luck hun, Im feeling fully recovered from my section, occasional niggle, back driving now and my little man is 1month now xxx

good luck hun i found my c section a breeze but best advice i was given by my gp whos amazing was keep on top of the pain... as soon as ya feel a niggle tell them ur in agony and need something he said once the pain gets past that stage nothing they can give u will really ease it...

i remember at one stage i told the nurse i was in agony and she was like ''oh hold on, ill get some paracetamol...'' i was like '' i dont think so , ive had 9 months of bloody paracetamol that does nothing only ease an itch....i want morphine!'' lmao needless to say i got it lol i think i was half zonked xx
