Buserelin

So first injection 0.5mls of buserelin done, is it normal for the area to feel itchy with a little gnat type bump around injection site ? X

Hi, I haven't had this with buserelin but I've only been taking 0.25ml. It does sting and the area goes red for about 20-30 mins after but no bumps. May be worth ringing your clinic to check this is ok xx

Hey Hon thanks, I emailed the nurse and she said it can be a normal reaction, I had a bath tonight after injection and it helped sooth it x

That's good! Mine have been fine thanks - only 1 bruise in 2 weeks so I can't complain. I find a hot water bottle quite soothing as well xxx

Oh that's excellent, glad yours has been ok, any crazy symptoms or all pretty settled ?
Do you change meds after two weeks with your plan? X

I did my third injection today and was a lot easier. I am getting quite bad headaches though and a little dizzy at times. Feel pretty tired too, not sure if that's listed on the side effects or not, will have to check. Are you getting any more side effects? xx

Ha my oh would say I'm no more crazy than normal at the moment! I've been to the hospital this morning and am waiting for a call with my blood results to see if I'm ok to start gonal f today - bit worried though as my follicle count was higher than normal and I thought everything should be shut down so I'm a bit worried what that means. I'm going to post a separate thread to see if this is normal or not

Are the follicles small though, I thought as long as they were below a certain measurement it was ok? This is only from what I have read though. I am not loving the buserelin, bad headaches, tired, emotional at times, it's not fun for me but just have to get on with it and hope it balances out soon. Hope all is ok to get the go ahead for gonal f xx

That's unusual, I thought as long as they saw some but weren't doing anything that's ok ? Did you get any answers ?

I'm not too bad thanks, little dizzy today, no headache today thank goodness and I've lost my appetite which is a small bonus lol ! All worth it hopefully

Yes my bumps from May stayed on my tummy till our 2nd IVF in September!
Although those ones have almost faded now, strange!

I've had a message to say all results are ok and I can start stimming tonight - this is all getting very real now eek! I didn't get chance to ask any questions as I had no signal so they just left me a voicemail. Both the sonographer and the nurse said the scan was 'fine' this morning and it was what I wanted to hear so I didn't question it any further at the time, just worried about it once I left instead! If the blood results back up that everything's fine then I'm happy with that though.

Sorry you're having a bad time on Buserelin Lisey. Are you drinking lots of water? I'm drinking 2 litres of water and about a pint and a half of milk every day. I feel a bit headachy and under the weather if I've not drank enough xxx

I think you might be right and need to drink more water, I was really thirsty yesterday too, unusually so. I do think I'm not having enough xx

It might have been because the first IVF was when the weather was hot, so they hung around like a heat rash!
