How do you all burp your LO's? I find it really hard to put Lizzie over my shoulder as she just squirms about if she is uncomfortable.
Also, how long are you supposed to try and do it for? I can tell when she's windy but I don't know how many burps it takes to get it all out lol! If that makes sense :)

I used to sit charley on my knee and rub and pat his back. Now he goes over my shoulder cos they come straight up!
If they don't come up, I lie him down and sit him back up again. I can normally hear it if he still has wind but because I've got to keep him upright after feeds due to reflux, his burps all come up then

I used to sit them on my knee, hand in a y shape , with fingers on one side and thumb on the other , and then rest that under the babies chin, (not neck) and the bib would dangle over the hand to catch ick!

then rub or gently pat the back of baby , for as long as baby is wriggling about showing still windy, could take a while sometimes

hope that helps

sitting on the knees as others mentioned...OR with my really fussy baby I'd lay him across my lap on his tummy and rub his back, he really liked that.
