there is so much debate about bump shapes. a round bump means you're likely to have a boy where as a oval shape means a girl etc.
Although all my girl bumps have been oval and the one i have looks like the world cup football I must admit i still think its a load of crap. I need convincing. Unless i birth a boy in october i won't believe it.

So who believes this myth about bump shapes? and who thinks its more the womans body condition and shape that matters?
And if it is true how can you explain it? Why would a boy bump be different from a girl bump  And what about a woman carrying a set of twins? a boy and a girl. What shape bump would you be loooking for?

I have voted no because I always believed the myth that boys are all at the front like a football (like my bump was!!) until a friend had a girl with exactly the same shape bump!!

Xxx

I voted no as too many people have said oh your expecting a girl and NOPE FOLKS ITS A BOY! Its true my shape is different to that I had on my dd but every person is different so why wouldnt it be different :|

I've voted yes because I only have my (limited) personal experience to go on. Despite a family tendancy to run to fat in pregnancy I've kept a really high football-bump and am having a boy. :D

I voted No, as my bump is exactly the same shape as when I had my daughter, and this one is a boy. The only difference is I am bigger now, but there is 13 years difference! I seriously think it's down to the mums body, and not the baby. It's the same as stretch marks. No amount of cream will help if you are destined to have them. I'm one of the incredibly lucky ones, and have no stretchmarks, and no cellulite. That's not down to any miracle cream, it's genetic.

I put no too, even though this bump is totally different to my bumps with my girls, like budge i won't believe it till november when i find out what i am having. I had a bit of a belly before getting pregnant so would never have a lovely round beach ball bump anyway :( . My mum also was all out front with me and fat all round with my brother so it must vary from person to person :D xx

I've said no though I'm not sure! When my bump first started it was very round then all of a sudden it grew massive and looked oval but now its starting to neaten up again :? My doc said the shape was due to my organs being squashed up so maybe its because I am short that its not so neat, it would also expalin why nearly all pregnant danish women look like they are having boys! Also I have big hips (even bigger now) so this would effect the shape probably.

Saying that my best buddy had a boy and thought she put on loads of weight and it wasn't until she had a girl she could see that she actually carried compactly with him

i have a football shaped bumpwhich is beginin to drop now, have put on no other weight than boobs and bump and when i had my scan we saw a big willy lol
