Bruised Belly Button

Very weird, got out of the shower last night and was rubbing body lotion onto my tummy when I noticed a circular bruise around my belly button! I haven't banged it, or done anything that I can think of to make it bruise. Has any one else had this? I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow so I'll ask her if it's anything to worry about!

Mine looks bruised but my MW said its the pigment and part of the linear negra thing!

You havent had your belly button pierced and taken it out during pregnancy have you?

I removed my bar cos it was getting uncomfy and where the skin has stretched it has left like a brown bruise/scar...just thinking it sounds similar?

My belly button is bruised and I tore the muscle around it so MW gave me a massive tubi grip to wear. I was in agony and don't know how I done it, so you could have hurt yourself without realising it.

No I've never been brave enough to get my belly button pierced after hearing my friend scream in agony while having hers done, I opted for a tatoo instead!!

No I've got a tattoo over my hip of a dolphin, when I had it done I asked the tattooist what would happen to it when I got pregnant and he said it would turn into a whale!! To be honest, as my belly has got bigger the tattoo has moved to the side so I can barely see it now!! As far as I can tell it still looks likes a dolphin. I'll have to get my boyfriends opinion later on whether it's a dolphin or a whale.

also i have had it pierced and because it has stretched i have a a huge strech mark the shape of a playboy bunny lucky ay!! lol!

Less than half the size it is now, was just a wee one really, hope it goes back!

My bump isn't all that big i think (just about to post more tummy pics in a mo) it;s just my tattoo looks massive as it;s stretched!

You'd be amazed just how far your tummy can stretch!

Yeah it opens your eyes thats for sure!

Im sure your tat will go back to normal hun, its only if you get stretch marks through it that it could go back a bit funny I think

Or if i stay this size! Not got any stretchies as yet, but OH's aunt tells me she didn't have any all through her pregnancy it was afterwards she got them?!
