Brown spotting at 9 weeks :(

Oh no its so stressful. Do you take aspirin? I was spotting pink at almost 12 weeks. I wish I went to the private doctor straight way. Its not worth the pain and wait. I'd do blood test to see what is going on. Stay strong my friend x

I'm not spotting anymore but I'm cramping so I'm currently laying in bed feeling sorry for myself
My husband isn't being supportive He thinks I'm overreacting

I've still got brown cm but I wouldn't say i was 'bleeding' it's weird because it's just the same as I had last year but I had much more last time so hoping it's a good sign that there's only a tiny amount
I'll just feel better once I've had the scan tomorrow
The cramps have eased off too so I'm at work today
I know you've had 3 mc hope you don't mind me asking but was each one similar?

I don't mind you asking hun. They were all completely different - 1st was a missed mc. Had brown spotting quickly followed by red spotting. I dated myself at 8+4 but scan showed only around 6 weeks. Had to be rescanned in 2 weeks to confirm mc and during this time spotting continued and got heavier until I had a natural mc where I experienced contraction like pains, heavy bleeding and passed lots of clots.

2nd was also a missed mc. Went for a private scan at 9 weeks to be told baby only measuring 8 weeks and no HB. I had an erpc in hospital. I still had all my symptoms etc and had no idea that anything had gone wrong.

3rd was a bit of a medical mystery all round. Bfn at 10dpo and AF arrived as normal. Had pink spotting on CD13 which I figured was ov spotting but did a pregnancy test just in case. Bfp! Bloods showed hcg increase but not doubling so pregnancy progressing at that point. Scan a week later showed no pregnancy anywhere but unable to visualise fallopian tubes so queried ectopic. Further bloods showed hcg dropping and I had very light bleeding throughout.

Bleeding and spotting in pregnancy is very common (although not considered normal) and it doesn't always have to mean the worst. It's totally understandable to worry though hun especially when you've already been through a loss. I think the fact it's brown blood is a good sign as it's old blood that could just be working it's way out. None the less you'll still worry regardless of what anyone says so just do what you can to get through the day and hopefully it'll be good news for you tomorrow.

I did have cramps but very mild and felt like I needed to poo. Cramps were very consistent every 3-4 minutes. Deep down I new what was going on. Felt like mind contractions.

I'd suggest to go private and do blood test. Check progesterone and any infection. Even the scan is fine you won't know what caused the spotting. I wish I did that.

I had a scan and baby was very happy inside. Heartbeat was strong. So scans don't tell the full story. x

I was very sick and had temperature 38. So its worth going to the docs and do a blood test.

Good luck for your scan! I agree with Charlotte, push for progesterone bloods? You may need some progesterone. Baby could be fine tomorrow just you are spotting as progesterone a little low if that makes sense? Not sure if I'm remembering correctly but do you have pcos as well? With Imogen I had the highest dose of progesterone I've had and she worked out okay. It can be a pcos thing I think. But saying that there's every chance it's not progesterone levels at all and was just a small bit of brown spotting left over from weeks ago when baby implanted . Crossing everything for tomorrow for you xxx
