I'm 6 weeks 5 days. Had 2 chemicals at just before 5 weeks. This time is symptom central which I never had before. All was good until an hour ago when I found mucousy brown discharge when I wiped. There's not much and it's light tan. But I'm now panicked

I called midwife and they made it worse by telling me I need to see my gp today for a referral.

A little bit of spotting in early pregnancy is quite often normal as long as it's not heavy bleeding with lots of pain. I had some very light brown spotting around 4+2ish weeks. I had a referral through NHS 111, saw a doctor who took a pregnancy test which was positive and said it's likely to be nothing to worry about but to go back if I got the heavy bleeding and pains. Fortunately he was right and everything was ok - I'm due today!

Definitely worth getting it checked out to put your mind at ease. Hope everything goes well for you, big hugs x

See the gp and get referred to epau.

There will be examples of women who have had this and all is ok and examples of the opposite. The only way you can get reassurance is to have a scan.

It's an awful thing to go through. I have been through it myself and remember it well. Hugs to you.xx

He did an exam and swab and told me to rest. He isn't concerned at all but is concerned that I'm a high risk pregnancy and has referred me as such due to thyroid issues.

I had it at around 6 weeks and then again last week around 8 weeks. Dr thinks nothing to worry about unless it's red bleeding or painful. But iv been referred for a scan tomorrow to double check x

Has he referred for a scan?
No. He did an exam and found no sign of the discharge at all. He is not concerned and said a scan would be a waste of everyone's time. He did a full meds review and examined me then said he would like to refer me to a high risk clinic where I will be monitored closely and weekly.

I had brown discharge around week 6 and then again last week (week 8) when I had LOTS of it and had a real, full blown panic. A scan later and all was proven to be fine, so I'm sure all will be okay for you too. Try not to worry, though I know it's not easy not to xxx

This was barely 1 wipe then gone and it was super pale. I took a picture to show him.

I feel great now. On complete rest for 7 months so I'm practicing putting my feet up with a book.

Ts2573, I also had a little bit of brown spotting/mucas twice when I went to the loo yesterday. Discovered it upon wiping only and it was only a small, faint bit. I arrived back from holiday yesterday and had this after my flight so I was really panicking as I also had some mild but brief cramping as well (kind of like period pain). I am unsure how far I am but reckon 8-9, possibly 10 weeks.
I have my first appointment with the midwife for bloods, etc on Monday then a scan next Thursday. I havent had it at all today though so have tried to relax and calm myself u til Monday. Although i havent met the midwife yet, i managed to get a phone number for the department this morning to speak with one and explained this to her and she said unless I am in a lot of pain of there is a lot of red or pink blood not to panic, it could be completely normal, old blood from implantation or parts of the body stretching as the umbilical cord fully develops itself. I just have to hold out until next week, trying to remain calm.
Its hard not to worry though. Fingers crossed its all ok for us.xx

Oh I meant to ask, did your doctor say anything about abstaining from sex? I forgot to ask the midwife about this as some forums I read online some women have said that they were advised not to have sex for a few weeks. Im going to ask the midwife on Monday and do without until I get an answer lol.

No. But he has said rest as much as possible and to take zero risks. But that's due to me being high risk. So we have assumed we should avoid
