Brown discharge, tummy ache but other positive symptoms...

Hi all,

Really hoping for some reassurance.

Today I have noticed a bit of brown discharge when wiping and I have a dull ache in my tummy. It's not each time I wipe and was very minimal (I do have a bit of an upset tummy this morning too - sorry if TMI)

I've still got lots of other symptoms such as sore boobs, feeling very nauseous etc but this has scared the hell out of me. I am 5 weeks and 5 days today.

Has anyone else experienced this around the same time? Honestly think we should be put in some kind of induced sleep from our BFPs to birth as this anxiety is awful 😭

I’ve had this for 2 weeks it’s normal my midwife said
As long as it’s not red and you haven’t got really painful cramps you’re ok x

I had this with my son - and it is normal. You should try not to worry unless it becomes heavy red blood or you get bad cramping. Easier said than done not to worry, I know x

I had this too and like you, it made me so nervous. I am almost 8 weeks and for the past week I've had no more brown spotting, so I think it is very normal and it's just old blood coming out and from your uterus growing and your baby implanting. All good, I promise!!

I had this start yesterday aswell. I had been panicking all night had slight brown discharge and the stomach cramps I’ve had since day 1. I’ve still got the symptoms of breast tenderness and nausea and also finding it hard sleeping on the one side my leg is painful if I sleep on it too long.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed all is ok and that no red blood turns up. Such a worry all the time it’s hard to keep up appearances when you’ve not told anyone either 😩

DD85 I know exactly what you mean. My DH is trying to be helpful by telling me to keep calm but it's easier said than done. If it helps at all mine has gone today. I am still having quite intense cramps but only lasting about 10 minutes now and they seem to have settled as well. Fingers crossed it's just the normal changes our bodies are going through at the moment

Oh I know mine to is telling me to keep positive etc. And to be fair I can remember saying the same to my friend however it’s not until your in the position yourself you think it’s easier said than done.

Yes mine seems to have settled but still have cramping a little. Fingers crossed KD23 it’s comforting to know you’re experiencing the same as me

I started having a bit of light pink spotting/brown when I wiped yesterday too and were very close in dates. I've been reassured by the lovely ladies on here that it's all relatively normal and to worry if it's bright red and heavy.
Hopefully it doesn't last too long and you can calm yourself down a bit.
