Brown discharge 9 weeks - worried!

Hi everyone,

I'm just writing to see if anyone had had a similar experience to mine and what it could mean - feeling very anxious!!

I am 9 weeks and have been having brown spotting since week 4. I had an early scan at 7 + 3 and saw the heartbeat and OBGYN said everything looked fine. However, the brown spotting hasn't gone away and I'm just worried it is a sign that something is wrong!?

Has anybody experienced anything similar? I'd appreciate any advice!

Yes I had spotting from week 6-10 with my little girl. Had an early scan at 8 weeks which showed everything to be fine but the spotting continued but did eventually disappear! My little girl is now 2.4yrs so everything was fine! But if your anxious or worried speak to your midwife - but general rule would be brown = old blood and no pain is a good sign xxxxx

I have also had it since 4 weeks so it's nice to know I am not the only one! I had a scan yesterday as I had a heavy bright red bleed on Saturday and baby fine now I have loads of brown discharge!!! It shows baby is growing and the old blood is coming out as uterus expands xx
