Brown blood, lower back ache?

Hi I don’t no whether to be concerned or not , Im roughly about 5 weeks & had a small amount of spotting today , the blood is brown and only stained my knickers slightly. Not enough for a normal period & nothing like a normal period for me.
I know it’s common in early pregnancy , I’ve also got lower back ache just on one side , I don’t no whether to be worried or not :/

Hey Becky, just monitor it, brown blood is generally ok as long as it doesn’t increase or turn red. Hopefully it’s nust baby trying to get comfortable xxx

Just I’ve got lower back ache too only mild like AF type dull ache , me & OH did have sex last night & that also made me cramp up so could it be related to that?

Yeah they do ask you that if you have have bleeding whether you have done the deed!! I get lower back ache had it with my first and have had it with this one!! Xx

Thank you for reassuring me, if I still have it tomorrow I’ll ring my Gp and see what they say
I had the same thing at 4 weeks but just presumed it was IMplantation

I had this after sex, it really worried me but it did stop and only lasted for the day after we had sex, I don't think you have anything to worry about xx

No I didn't bother, it only lasted a short while. We didn't have sex for a while after that thou as it did scare me. I had a scan last week and all was fine. We also had sex last night and I had a bit of light pink bleeding, it only lasted a little time and it stopped.
You are really sensitive up there and your blood vessels are delicate which can cause bleeding after sex.

I wouldn't worry unless it's bright red xx

yeah, i heard that, about the cervix being really vascular when you're pregnant. It doesn't sound like anything serious to me.

I’d report it to the gp. It could be nothing or it could be something. Lots of women have bleeding in pregnancy and it’s fine as mentioned above. The only way you’ll know is if you have it investigated. I’ve had brown bleeding and it be fine and brown bleeding and it not be fine - tri 1 is very stressful. Bleeding in pregnancy is not normal but doesn’t necessarily mean the worst. Get yourself some reassurance from the medics. X

So I spoke to soon, had a little bit more this morning it was still brown & looked to me like old blood, had no cramps , pains or anything at all. The dr got me in straight away & is almost certain it’s not an eptopic pregnancy or anything to be worried about.
To make sure everything is okay I’ve got a scan on Monday & a few further tests just to see. thanks for tor advice though
