Britians youngest mums and dads on NOW...

i started watching this and got upset and had to turn it off. i have nothing against teen mums and dads but some of them were just dirty skrubber!! I dont understand why a family with no money can always folk out for fags and beer  even i cant afford them and i work full time with no kids!

Yep! They give us a bad name. Why buy luxuries for urself rather than essensials for your baby? Bloody stupid. :x

But people like that always seem to be able to afford whatever they want, new clothes all the time, etc.

Pisses me off when both me & OH work full time but yet still struggle sometimes.

I know, i can never buy new clothes :( Just the odd primark top. I use my mums clothes alot now im bigger.
I always feel guilty if i buy myself a £3 top and not jaycee. I couldnt ever put myself first over her

Aye, it feels like a luxury if i get to buy myself a new pair of knickers these days!!

i think in all honesty that programme is biased. i dont think young moms are like that. i think ignorant breeders are like that.

they always show younger moms as if young people are all twats and shud be sterile!

they need to watch jeremy kyle and see how some of those 'older moms' behave!

**i didnt see this one, but i saw the other one and the only girl that upset me was that little 13 yr old child who wudnt look after her own. calling the poor baby a rat** boy oh boy

I know! Who says a 30yr old mum is a good mum just coz of her age??
It all depends on that specific person not just their age. Its awful they keep showing these young girls and not the older struggling mums.

Oh i totally agree, just because some women are older, most certainly doesn't make them better mothers!

my aunty was 25 when she had her 1st and shes got 8kids now, she doesnt care about any of them, little trav was in a hit and run accident last week hes only 4 and she was too busy pampering herself. She found out about 3 hours later when the hospital phoned. They only knew it was her kids because his older sister was with him. (she only about8 herself). No one would make a programme about people like her. She doesnt deserve those kids! :wall:

I bet you find that there is only a minority of children that age that can cope with having babies and do well. and i agree there are probably many older mothers that are bad mums.

it is a disgrace.

i too was on benefits and i did not live like that and i may not have had the best furniture but my flat was always clean and my son was always clean and tidy (unless he had just eaten).

davina,
See the pic of your baby in your signature, I always thought that was an elaborate hat/sleepsuit. Until........ I made Joe a particularly foamy bath and lay him in it :rotfl: All I could see was this wee head poking out.

Exactly, there will alway be times when we dont have much but we can always be clean and tidy. I mean, if you have no money to go out you migth as well stay in and clean. Which reminds me now to go back and finish off that bathroom floor.
Manners, thats something else that doesnt cost anything but that a lot of people (no one on the forum of course) seem to posses.
