Anyone had or having a baby in breech position? Im 29 weeks and starting to wonder if my baby is in the breech position, i knows there's plenty of time for her to turn if she is but im just intrigued to know if she is. What signs did anyone have when theirs were breech? I have two boys and they both head down from this stage and this one is a girl!!!

Thanks

Jenny

Hi my baby was breech until 2 weeks or so ago (can't remember when my last appointment was!). I only ever got kicks or movement right on my pant line but when he turned he then lodged his feet in my ribs which was agony so I suspected he was then head down which the midwife confirmed.

I didn't do anything to promote this, just let him get on with it x

I rely on the MW to tell me position at the moment. But when she has, I find I can identify body parts for a while. Until they wriggle again, that is!

Lil Missy's breach too.

DS was well head down by this point, but they've said they'll let me go to 36w still breach before they discuss options. Then they would prefer to schedule a c-sec but will attempt vaginal birth if I really want to push for it.

It's still six weeks away, so... We'll see xx

Once baby is head down is it likely to stay in that position till birth( is it supposed to stay there? Baby was head down as of 28weeks just checking itl stay put! X

I would say no Claire. Mine was head down until around 20weeks was breech and then was back to being head down at 34weeks.

Afraid not, my Lo has been transverse for a while then head down then breech, then oblique last appt she was head down but they can move right up to labour unfortunately. Albeit sore and not much room as before to move, they can. Just have a read in our may mummies group at all the naughty babies we have the wrong way!! Lol
