Breathless!

I am increasingly finding it hard to catch my breath these days! I often start coughing for air iykwim... Especially when I lie down for the night. Anyone else the same?

Hiya, I've just posted about this - yeah I'm ok during the day unless I do something strenuous (which I dont do much of!) but when I sit down in the evening and go to bed I'm really struggling to breathe properly and wheezing all over the place. I don't know if it's to do with oregnancy or not but def got worse lately and I hate it esp at night. Have you thought about going to docs or speaking to MW?

Could it be low iron girls? I am slightly anemic and get breathless a bit

Im already on iron tablets so shouldn't be anaemic. My bump is fairly high tho - possible my baby is pushing up on my lungs. It was really bad today and I just cannot get comfortable at all! I'm seeing the nurse on Monday and will ask her if it's normal and ifthere is anything I can do about it. Thanks

Ahh yes could be that too the with a high bump, everythig eds up pushed upwards, esp if you have a big or high bump or you have a short body. I'm long and my bumps are never huge, so don't get this till later on

See what the midwife recomends, maybee once baby gets in a better position or drops later on, this will free more room

Im exactly the same, it has basically started in the past couple of weeks. I have a feeling im anaemic as im very very tired too. Ive had 8 hrs sleep and basically could go back to sleep ans stay in bed all day. i cant as i have a toddler to look after. Also It depends on the position you lie in as well, try not to lie flat on your back, lie on your left side as this is the best position for pregnancy. You will become less breathless, as the weight of the baby will shift. xx
