Hi ladies. Ive been reading about the difficulties of bfing after an elective section, due to the body not necessarily being ready to produce milk. Has anyone had experience with this? Should i try to express and bf? Manually express before the birth? Thanks in advance!

As far as I know it's the act of the placenta coming away from the uterus which sets the body away to start making milk so it should just take the normal 3/4 days for milk to come in. There's plenty of colostrum there in the meantime, just keep putting baby on yhe boob whenever she/he wants to stimulate production
