i'm in my 9th week of pregnancy and plan to breast feed when i finally get my bubba here but ive no idea about it and what i need to buy??
I use a pump every morning as I am trying to store up a bit of a supply in the freezer, I have the avent manual one and find it really good! I also have lansinoh cream for dry and cracked nipples..its a life saver! And lansinoh disposable breast pads, they are the best ones that I have found! I dont have a sterilizer, I use the microwave sterilizing bags as I only have to do the pump once a day, and they each last 20 uses, I find them really good. The only other thing I use is infacol before I feed him, this really helps bring up his wind as he does struggle sometimes! Obviously good supportive bras are essential, you will need to be remeasured after your milk has come in and fitted then, I bought a couple of cheap ones for early on and then more expensive ones when I got properly measured, I went from a 34F to a 36FF during pregnancy and then to a 36HH after my milk came in!!! Oh I also have some soothing breast pad things that you can either put in the fridge or heat them up to help when they are engorged, they are quite useful aswell!! I think that is everything I have! Oh one more thing, keep an eye out from now for tops that unbutton and will be able to feed from in public, nothing worse than having a tshirt on that you have to pull right up, doesnt make it very discreet!! x
