i'm in my 9th week of pregnancy and plan to breast feed when i finally get my bubba here but ive no idea about it and what i need to buy??

If you want to exclusively breast feed, not much. But a pump, bottles and a steriliser would be handy if you wanted to have a night out and needed someone else to feed baby.

Nipple cream (Lansinoh) is good to have around the house for those first weeks, when nipples suffer the most.

I use my pump every now and again, but tbh I wasted money on sterilizer and bottles I use one bottle and the sterilizer the pump came in! Other than that you need nothing really. I use breast pads for leakage.
You will need nursing bra, but I would wait till baby is here cos your Boobs will change a lot!

It's great that you want to do it :) remember it can get hard and frustrating , but keep trying and be determined. Ask for advice, there are loads of us on here willing to help :)
There is a long list of benefits for you and baby and usually mw will talk about it and give lots of literature on it too :)

Also, don't worry if you don't have everything beforehand! That's what OHs are for, running to get things for us in the middle of the night :D (they must suffer a little too)

I use a pump every morning as I am trying to store up a bit of a supply in the freezer, I have the avent manual one and find it really good! I also have lansinoh cream for dry and cracked nipples..its a life saver! And lansinoh disposable breast pads, they are the best ones that I have found! I dont have a sterilizer, I use the microwave sterilizing bags as I only have to do the pump once a day, and they each last 20 uses, I find them really good. The only other thing I use is infacol before I feed him, this really helps bring up his wind as he does struggle sometimes! :) Obviously good supportive bras are essential, you will need to be remeasured after your milk has come in and fitted then, I bought a couple of cheap ones for early on and then more expensive ones when I got properly measured, I went from a 34F to a 36FF during pregnancy and then to a 36HH after my milk came in!!! Oh I also have some soothing breast pad things that you can either put in the fridge or heat them up to help when they are engorged, they are quite useful aswell!! I think that is everything I have! :) Oh one more thing, keep an eye out from now for tops that unbutton and will be able to feed from in public, nothing worse than having a tshirt on that you have to pull right up, doesnt make it very discreet!! :) x

How funny re the t shirt thing! I fond t shirts and tops that pull up better as lo hides what I've exposed!! My sil used to always wear shirts and everything was on show!! Xx

I use a bump band under so I can lift up my top while hiding belly :)

im planning to breastfeed too! ive got a avent isis manual pump, some rewashable cushy breast pads, i got a box of 2 of the new avent natural bottles that have the wide breast looking nipple, lanisoh ointment, milk storage bags for the freezer, and a jelly bra to stick in the fridge and wear incase of pain i got in a few sizes bigger than i am now in case my breasts get much bigger but got seperate adjustable extenders and straps for it too so it can be comfy if it doesnt fit perfect, and got a pack of nursing bras but will probs get more when i know what size i will be when the milk comes in! for outerwear i got some fashionable comfy cotton shirts that button up in the front, matalan has a ton of cute maternity/breastfeeding tops in the clearance section sometimes :D
