Hi,

We live in a small flat with a fairly uncomfortable sofa and was thinking about purchasing a new chair to use whilst breast feeding. We need it to be fairly small as not much spare space.

Does anyone have any reccomendations? Or is it better to just get a cushion and use the sofa?

Many thanks

Fran

If your sofa's comfortable enough to spend a lot of time on I'd just use that if you only have space for a small chair - I feed Toby on the sofa and find it quite hard on narrow chairs with arms because he likes to stretch out and pushes his feet into the sides! It's important that you're confortable though. I'm afraid I can't help with the chair recommendation :)

I can recommend a V pillow, I used it constantly when Rosie was feeding. It is essential that you are comfortable whilst feeding so I would recommend one of these and your sofa :)

yeah V pillows are amazziinngg :) ive used them my whole life lol i couldnt sleep without one now lolxx

I just used a V pillow too. I have chairs in the babies rooms but I dont often feed on them - sofa or bed :D

i never had a special chair, i just sat on the sofa. like sams mum said tho, katie loved to push her feet out and cos she wwas so long, by sort of 3 weeks i couldnt fit in an arm chair with her!! i used a pillow for a bit to support her, but tbh, my boobs are that saggy i could just lay her on my knees

I seen Alice feeding her from a different room once.....

Ok great thanks - will just stick with a V cushion then - will save some cash!

i am only short mind, my boobs dont have as far to go to reach my ankles as some
