Give me hope that I will eventually get more than 2 hours sleep in one go. We're at 9 weeks now and it's starting to catch up on me. We already co sleep but I can't feed lying down so still have to sit up every time.

Sorry should be in baby and toddler section

I breastfed my daughter until 13 month. I hope I can do it again this time. It does get easier I promise. They have little growth spurts and you feel like you have been sat there forever. I had to get my husband to have her for a while because she would use my breast as a comforter and not be feeding from me xx

That's the thing though, he's such an efficient breast feedee, nothing like my first. He doesn't ever use me for comfort, he doesn't cluster feed and the second he's had enough he spits it out and goes to sleep which is great that he doesn't rely on me to fall asleep but the feeds have been every 2 hours since birth so it can't be growth spurts. His tummy must be bigger now though, he must be able to hold more that when he was born. I don't mind I know he needs it and I'm not complaining but I'd love to hear that 3/4/5 hours sleep will happen for me again one day soon lol.

He sounds like a very hungry boy, or a mummy's boys who loves to be around you xx

Around this time I used to do a bit of a trick with my DD before I went to sleep I would feed her 3 times in 1 hour intervals and that way she slept sometimes 6 hours in a row. You are doing an excellent job and he is obviously enjoying his meals. :)

Sorry ladies this should have been posted in baby and toddler section. I was still half asleep lol.
I've tried feeding him more often but he just gets annoyed if I try and give him milk when he's not asked for it lol.

Jessie cat, ive only bf two of my babies..
One loved clusterfeeding all evening and he slept througth from 8 weeks and the last fed 2 hrly and refused to cluster feed. He fed that same way for 13 mths 2 hrly round the clock. Weaning at 4 mths ( as i did with my others as im older back to old rules :) ) made no diff. Im not trying to emotionally finish you off just wanted you to know that trying to work on the cluster feed is the way forward, althougth i didn't crack it.

Try feed followed by bath later in eve as all babies want to feed after a bath for some reason! Then you sleep match with him xx

Hang in there, xx
