Is anyone else sooooooooo fed up with BH? I'm getting them hourly and the odd one is starting take my breath away, the rest are this horrible dull ache that makes me feel light headed and out of it. As for the period pains, blergh.

I know they're great for practicing labour and if they help me birth easier then great stuff, but I'm hot, tired and grumpy so I say yuck yuck yuck!

Yes so much yes to this I had them pretty much as you are now before slow labour started, warm bath may help ease them and a shower the stream on the bump definitely eased mine. Hope they don't keep on with the intensity cause it's horribly uncomfortable xxx

I've been getting them several times an hour for the last 2-3 months. I didn't realise what they were at first. My chest goes tight with them. Midwife said it's nothing to worry about but they're sooo annoying!

Get them daily!!!! Also getting stronger each day. Now I have to stop and focus when I Get them :( and to think I used to moan about period pain once a month!!! Had pains every day since being pregnant :(

Had 10 or so sets of BH today and after each one, baby had a proper party !

Oh yea I know what you're talking about! i've been having them daily and mostly in the evenings, several close to each other and then they go once I have a shower and move from sofa to bed 😄 Some of them cause me difficulty breathing. And occasionally feeling a few mild period type cramps. I am just thinking does this mean that my labour is fast approaching? I am 34 weeks + 0 today and wondering if my baby is going to come after 40 weeks or maybe earlier since I've been feeling an increase in braxton hicks 🤔

I think it's pretty standard for them to become more intense and regular as it's the body's way to prepare for labour and childbirth. When I get the bad ones, I see it as a mini achievement hahaha

Unfortunately yes, more standard for them to ramp up without labour being imminent which is really pants. What is great though is that they can be used as a reason to vegetateon the sofa guilt free

Mine are getting sore now, and my while chest is seizing up with them. Wonderful things, aren't they? Hey ho, at least they're good practice for labour!

I'm a FTM....are they a reflection on labour in anyway?? Want to be prepared!!

They are and they aren't. My BH are always in my back and that's where I labour, but the pain is very different in labour. For me, it feels much heavier in my hips as it's a more intense contraction. Does that make sense?
