Hi ladies I'm currently 33 weeks and for the past week I have being getting awful pains, but they come and go to infrequently to be the start of labour, and when I get in bath they stop, I've never had braxton hicks before this is my 3rd baby, so have no clue what they feel like, they completely stop me in my tracks and my tummy goes a funny shape, obviously there is nothing I can do just having a rant as its making me knackered as they are waking me up in the night, only thing that stops them is the bath!! I've got midwife tomorrow so gonna spk to her and see if she has any tips for me I'm getting a section at 38 weeks due to 2 previous emergency sections and gestational diabetes so only 5 weeks left but 5 weeks more of this I don't know whether I will be able to cope!! So sorry for the long post but any tips ladies?? X

Hi,
They are miserable!! I feel your pain. I am 28 weeks and been having them for the past 2 weeks. I haven't found a way of easing them to be honest. Just keep practicing my breathing exercises! I have found that if I change position quickly they seem to come on. Also apparently keeping hydrated could ease them but I haven't found this too he the case. Some days are better than others. I have a consultant appointment tomorrow so if she comes up with any solutions I'll let you know.

I have this too. It's awful and bloody painful sometimes . No advise just rest and hydration I was told be interested to see what others have found useful. Xx

Hi,

Hope you're ok today.

Saw my consultant and spoke to him about my tightenings. He said it's totally normal and nothing too worry about. He said the only time too be concerned is if they become regular or more intense. He laughed at me when I asked if they harm the baby!
