Actually i hate them but im pleased to be getting them again in a morbid sort of way.

awww thats brill but im so glad i didnt get them till 29 weeks....lol

wow, what do they feel like? when do you normally start feeling them i thought it was later on??

i think you feel them earlier with second and subsequent babies littlelady.

i can't remember when i felt them with my first .Maybe around 22 weeks or something. :D

LUCKY YOU

IVE ALWAYS HAD THEM PRETTY STRONG AND EARLY.

what do they feel like, i expect they can be very uncomfortable???

A TIGHTENING AROUND THE TUMMY. LIKE A LITTLE ELECTRIC SHOCK I SUPPOSE. ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN. YOU'LL KNOW WHEN YOU FEEL THEM.

 YOU GET THEM AFTER A GOOD SESSION BETWEEN THE SHEETS MOSTLY. NOT THAT I WAS AT IT IN FRONT OF THE TELEVISION THOUGH.

i bet i dont realise when it happens and think that it is just growing pains lol, sounds quite painful though

its more uncomforatble than painful littlelady. chanes are you haven't had one yet. :D

no i doubt i have, i will probably get them further on coz this is my first baby:)

When i was pregnant with Adele i didnt get any she was just born at 29 weeks, but the ones i got at around 30+ weeks with Colby were really painfull i was mistaking them for labour pains....lol butthey said a few times it was firststage of labouronly caused by a urine infection butthey always stopped them, so glad its all over with...lol

Trust me you're missing nothing, I'd never heard of Braxton Hicks and his contractions until I started to get them about maybe 3 weeks ago! They do seem to get worse and only seem to happen when I'm being active - i.e. walking to the tube station, around the shops, etc. I don't know why but they are quite stronge and painful, they've had me double over a few times already. Fortunately my sister never had any during her pregancy but she knew of someone else who needed medication from around week 28 to stop the contractions as they were so fequent and painful  ! Something else to look forward to!!

woopie i cant wait just another pain to add to the list of things that i can moan about lol:)

I don't think i've had them. I get a sharp pain if i walk fast but i put that down to a stitch. Now i don't know! If you don't get any at all do you think your labour will start naturally?

x

I've been getting them since about 16 weeks. The bump goes as hard as nails and you feel so tight you almost cant move, at least thats what they feel like to me. Didn't get them on my dd until bout 23 weeks.

I didn't get them at all with my daughter - and yes Hayley, I did go into labour naturally (allbeit 18 days late!!!!).

I have been getting them with this one, but so far, only after 'cuddles', which results in both of us rolling around laughing while I'm going "ouch, ouch, ouch"!!!!

They are 'practice' contractions hun. When the uterus and tummy tighten, and some women experience a bit of pain with it as well.
