i think its time for a new bra i was a 34c but bra is def too tight have to take it off as soon as i finsh work!
any recomendations for best place to get measured/best bra?
god only knows what size i'm goona end up by 40wks

Debenhams usually have a bra specialist who will measure you and find you decent fitting bras, they have all manner of styles too and they do all the running around for them :cheer:

Good luck babe.

i went to john lewis last time and they were ace too! she even took me round and told me where there might be differences in different makes and pointed out any sizing differnces..

I had a shock, came of my contreception first time in 12 years went from a 36B to a 34E in a month!!

word of warning tho...M&S own make bras seem to be different to everyone elses

Be careful of John Lewis I went there when I was about 8/9 weeks and had originally been a 36C but always wore 36D wonderbras and the boning hurt anyway she first got me to try a 40DD  which was way too big I eventually left with 40D with her saying you'll be out of it in no time. After wearing it for a few days I felt it was too big. So I went to Mothercare and as they were busy just tried on loads of different sizes until I found what fitted me at the time it was a 38C and its still lovely and comfortable although probably not for long more but it was £12 and I felt I'd rather have a bra that actually fitted it at the time rather than buying something to grow into it.

Sparky I wrote my reply before reading yours you obviously had the better train lady fitter.

yes definately think it goes from fitter to fitter! I went to see her after reading an article about her in the paper, shes been doing it for over 40 years and tells your cup size by looking at your boobies...lol! which she did!...mind you i had a heart attack when she bought in this mahoooosive bra and an even bigger one when i filled it...DH thought it was funny that he could fit his head inside it and wear it as a hat...bless em doesnt take much to amuse them! :rotfl:

Just noticed theres a blooming marvelous in winchester...they offer a fitting service too

def look after your boobs girls. My are like road maps from ellis!!! And its cos i never wore a bra at home for the first 12 weeks. I was ready to moisturise my belly when the bump started but forgot my boobs till it was too late :wall:

xxxxx

I had a bad experience in Marks and Spencers a couple of weeks ago with a horrid woman. I am usually 34b, she told me I was a 38a and then got me the most hideous bras to try on and when I said they were horrible, she told me I was going to be hideous for 9 months and that I shouldn't wear any underwire either

This might sound like a silly question but what about knickers? As it is my first pregnancy I don't know if your supposed to end up wearing bigger ones or if you wear the ones you usually wear.

For me, anything that is comfy and if that means bigger pants then so be it!!

No I meant when your further along, I'm just over 12 weeks and my bump is really starting to show but my usual knickers are getting really uncomfy and just wondered if anyone bought special maternity knickers.

I am still wearing high leg cotton pants from asda..i don't like things pressing on my bump and find them uncomfortable so have just stuck with what is comfy...You'll find what you need as you get bigger

I'm usually a 32DD but they don't seem to have got that much bigger, just popping out of the top of my bra (but not so much that i have 4 boobs :puke: )

Suppose i will still have to get measured soo tho. xx
