Where do they go when you are pregnant?

Do they ever return?

Im sure since Ive become pregnant Ive developed dyslexia....I cant type properly, I get all the letters back to front. I never apologise for it as I'd be doing it ALL the time  Ive just tried doing something on the PC which requires a little brain power and its taken me aaaaaaaaggggeesss, usually it would be no problem for me!! LOL I refused to get frustated but my God I cant believe how dumb Ive become :rotfl:

Im sure Im going to give birth to a genius because he sure has sucked out all my intelligence :D

I think they come back a few months after the birth but are never the same again! I'm sure I was much more intelligent before I had James

I think it's to prepare us for the cbeebies days!! The less brain cells we have the more likely we are to enjoy the programmes!!!

I can't wait to watch cbeebies again! James has outgrown that channel now.

We've had it solid for years, my daughter is 6 now so more into cbbc, but got a 3yr son who adores the programmes!! Especially iggeldy piggledy house!!!

I'm hoping to find them all in the same place I seem to keep losing everything I put in my hands to "put away".....keys, phones, batteries, remote controls....

In all seriousness, baby really does suck some of our brain function!!! They need essential fatty acids (like Omega 3 and 6) in third Tri to develop the connections in their growing brains. If we don't give them enough through our diet, they absorb it from our brains!! Cheeky blighters! That means we are more likey to be forgetful, have shorter concentration spans or make silly mistakes.

I am a right daft moo at the minute - I forget lots of things and drift in and out of conversations, films etc I have also had a few silly incidents where I have put a used tea bag in the sink and the cup in the bin! I have even put cereal in the fridge and milk in the cupboard! :rotfl:

In a word.....NO! :rotfl:

I am ten times worse now than when I was pregnant. Matt thinks Luke got all my brain cells! I have never been so forgetful in my life!

I asked my friend about this; she had a baby last year.

Apparently PreggoBrain just gives way to BabyBrain and you never really recover  just what I didn't want to hear because I'm fed up of losing my train of thought in the middle of sentences and looking like a complete numpty :rotfl:

Yep, its true, while your pregnancy brain goes, you end up with Mummy brain. Your head is so full of caring for someone else there's no room for anything else.

Its a great excuse either way for all those silly mistakes!

my dh reckons my brain is mummified - certainly has never recovered since first born - sorry

:rotfl: :rotfl:

this is bad news! LOL - I keep losing my train of thought in the middle of sentances too Bex :? its so embarrasing but at least with a bump its excusable (sp) when Im no longer pregnant and do it I'll just look silly :rotfl: :rotfl:

I remember when James was first born, it took me ages to get to grips with having an adult conversation cos I'd always have one eye on him and be thinking about him, and I'd forget what I was saying halfway through a sentence
