Boys names - are these one's really really popular

Hi All,

It's proving difficult to decide on a boys name. We love the names Sam or Adam.

We appreciate that they are pretty common, but can anyone in the know tell me HOW common IYKWIM? Are they "yes I know someONE with that name and it's nice" common....or, "Oh my god everyone's son I know is called that" common?

Adam was 26.

There is one Adam in my childrens classes (thats 3 different classes)
And the only young Sam i know is my half brothers brother (lol different mums)
I think they are both lovely names!

I love Adam my little brothers a Adam and it sounds like it should be popular but its not! Haha everyone knows a Sam or a Adam but never anymore than 1 really!

By the way Adams are famed for being trouble! Haha cute trouble but trouble!

I know 3 boys called Sam under 10.

Not come across an Adam of late thouggh.

I don't know any Sam's but it's probably more common than Adam... I knew one Adam and he was a couple of years older than me.
